Robert Canina is a health care leader with 35 years of strategic planning, design and concentrated project management experience directing projects on a regional and national level. He has proven success by understanding today’s healthcare environment and national trends and best practices, and how scope and development cost tie directly to capital projects and return on investment. He’s been responsible for working with corporate leaders and clinical teams to identify long and short range growth strategies, developing project budgets and fiscal year cash flow projections, and directing his team in all aspects of planning and construction.Robert’s experience includes replacement hospitals, complex facility expansion projects, medical office buildings, and facility renovation projects. He has overseen real state land acquisitions and property due diligence for medical facilities and offices, lease negotiations, and fit up. He has been involved with state and local authorities to approve site development plans, plan reviews and inspections.Robert’s achievements include driving significant savings and efficiencies by leveraging a multi-year capital projects program by implementing various system standards, as well as developing an internal construction program. He has been responsible for creating, hiring, and managing the system planning, design, and construction department.Robert has a bachelor’s of architecture degree, and a Master’s of science in management degree with a healthcare certificate.
