Gilbert (Gil) Manalo joined Medxcel in July 2019 as the National Director of Construction Programs. Prior to Medxcel, he served 26 years in the U.S. Navy as an active duty Naval Officer (Civil Engineer Corps) providing military construction and facilities management support at military installations around the world. One of the highlights of his Naval career was his assignment as the Director of Design and Construction at the Defense Health Agency where he led a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects and healthcare planners managing a $7.5 billion portfolio of military healthcare construction projects around the world. 

As the National Director of Construction Programs, Gil oversees a diverse portfolio of construction projects supporting major strategic growth initiatives as well as facility and infrastructure readiness across 10 Healthcare Markets throughout the United States. 

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager and a member of ASHE. During his spare time, he enjoys water sports such as stand up paddle boarding and competitive dragon boat racing. He currently resides in Jacksonville, FL.
