In 2013, Dave joined Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) as System Vice President of Real Estate and to build a Real Estate organization from the ground up. With more than 30 years in the real estate & development industry, Dave oversees the national strategic and operational guidance to CHI and its market-based organizations on transactions, development, property management, space management, and other real estate related activities for 55M sf.
Dave came to CHI from TIAA, where he served as Vice President of Corporate Real Estate, and headed up on a national basis the Leasing, Facilities Management, Asset Management, Project Management, Strategic Space Planning & Critical Operations for TIAA.
Prior to his employment at TIAA-CREF, Dave had several roles with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), including as Vice President/National Account Manager for Tyco Electronics, managing their 65 buildings with a total of seven million square feet. Also, during his time with JLL, Dave conducted Corporate Real Estate Operational Reviews for companies such as Texas Women’s Hospital, Lucent, AT&T, Mellon Financial and General Motors.
Previously, he was a Senior Property Manager and start up specialist for Brookfield Development at Republic Plaza in Denver, Citicorp Plaza in Los Angeles and other major mixed use developments around the United States and Canada. Responsibilities included Start Up, Leasing, Operations and Project Management.
Dave serves as a Board Member of CoreNet and previously on the Corporate Real Estate Council for the Urban Land Institute, Downtown Denver Business Improvement District and twice as a Board Member of BOMA. He holds a Colorado Real Estate License and several industry designations. Dave holds a Bachelor of Education from Emporia State University and Business Administration from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
