Clayton Smith’s background includes over 15 years of experience in healthcare facilities management as well as 10 years in construction management and design. He currently is the Sr. Vice President, Facilities for Children’s Health System of Texas in Dallas, Texas where he supports Engineering, Planning Design & Construction, and Environmental Services for 5+ million SF of Hospital, Clinical, and Business occupancies. He earned his bachelor’s degree in
construction management from Missouri State University and his MBA from Webster University. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager. He has contributed to many industry publications including Healthcare Facility Magazine, the Healthcare Facilities Network, Management in Healthcare, and ANSI Standards.
