Chuck Cooper is the DaVita Healthcare Partners Director of Design and Construction for Strategic Business Initiatives. He is responsible for the oversight and management of design and construction for strategic projects supporting operational groups and business entities such as Healthcare Partners, Nephrology Practice Solutions, Paladina Health, Lifeline vascular access, DaVita Labs, Rx and other SBI’s. Current projects include several large multi-specialty clinics in design or construction phase in multiple U.S. states and a mix of international projects including clinical and office facilities.
A graduate of Virginia Tech’s College of Architecture and Urban Studies, Chuck is registered architect, AIA Maryland member, and a NCARB certificate holder. He has worked for various Architecture firms in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland over the past 20 + years and has lectured on sustainable design at various colleges and universities, chambers of commerce, businesses, community associations, non-profits, and trade associations in Maryland and South Carolina.
As a LEED Accredited Professional he is an active member of the US Green Building Council’s Maryland Chapter, a former USGBC Maryland Chapter Board member and the founding Chair of the USGBC Maryland Chapter’s “Northern Chesapeake Branch”. He is a past member of the USGBC Maryland Healthcare Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Advocacy Committee and the Green Schools Committee and was the treasurer of the USGBC’s Northeast Corridor Regional Committee. He is also the founding Chair of the “Grand Strand Branch” of the USGBC South Carolina Chapter.
