Priya Cherukuru is a nationally recognized healthcare planning executive and certified land use planner (AICP) with more than 20 years of experience leading complex strategy, space, and capital improvement initiatives within highly regulated healthcare environments. Known for her collaborative, consensus-driven approach, Priya brings creative and innovative solutions to some of the most space constrained academic medical centers in the country.

As Vice President of Facilities Planning and Design at Stanford Health Care, Priya leads enterprise-wide facilities planning, design, land use and entitlements, art and signage programs, across a portfolio exceeding 5 million square feet. Her scope includes three hospitals, more than 170 outpatient clinic sites, and over 50 administrative locations supporting approximately 20,000 employees, faculty, fellows, and residents. She oversees the development and execution of capital programs totaling more than $8 billion, with initiatives planned over a 20-year horizon.

Priya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and is a certified planner (AICP) through the American Planning Association (APA). She is actively engaged in civic service, currently serving on the City of Santa Clara Planning Commission, and previously serving as Chair of the Planning Commission, Historical Landmarks Commission, and the Architectural Site Approval Committee for Santa Clara County.

Outside of work, Priya is a proud wife, mom, and dog parent, bringing the same care, thoughtfulness, and dedication to her personal life that she does to her professional leadership.
